If we plug in the values for Standard temperature (0C or 273K) and pressure (101.3 kPa or 1atm) into the ratio for gases, we can find the ratio for PV = nRT

You can ignore the factor ‘’R’’ as it is present in both equations.

(1atm) x (2L ) = n (273) ------ (1x2)/ 273 = .007 moles

(.88atm) x (zL) = .007 moles (303)

X = 2.5
